Was working on a trailer rollup door this morning. Had a lift truck fork under the door as a safety measure.

Note To Self... Remove fingers from fork BEFORE releasing door. :)

Only graphic if its your finger.

Five stitches and some gauze and I was ready to go.

Say ouch!!!

Bet that didn't feel good. Well it is incentive to practice weak side ( if your lucky trigger finger was on your strong side that is).

Heal up.

Last time I saw that finger on a trigger, it was on a benchrest rifle. Not sure there is a weak side. He still has 3 good ones left. You never know... the real magic could be in #2 :)

It'll heal up. May even act a little better since you smacked the bejesus out of it. :D

Didn't think about that. Maybe it will spread out over the whole trigger. :)

This was the day after it happened. A number of years ago I was routing a stock when the wood jumped and pulled my finger into the router.

It has an obvious slant to it now. The skin no longer grows right and it still is sensitive today.

Cut mine off year and a half ago. Here is a pic after it was put back on. I still cannot bend it all the way down, but have re-learned to pull a trigger. I also lost feeling on one side of it. I was a butcher at the time, but cut it off doing metal tile work in my bathroom.2zh1mx2.jpg[/img]

I keep wondering about the "metal tile" part. A bathroom's a relatively small space with not a whole hell of a lot of work to do. It usually doesn't entail metal tiles. Is it for the ceiling? Got pix? What tool does that to a whole finger? Haven't come across that one yet.

The metal tiles where for a decorative wall splash. Only the tile cut me. I had a screwdriver in my hand but it was just the tile. I still don't know how I did it, but I guess I have talent.

I am embarrassed I posted my little boo boo after Dolomite and UncleJak's posts.

As long as you don't go out and try to top theirs!
