Rabbit Hunting

Recommended Posts

How many "Rabbit Hunters" do we have out there? I love rabbit hunting and have a couple good dogs I use. My favorite shotgun is my Remington 870. A good dog, shotgun, thermos of coffee and balogna sandwich is all a man needs on a cold frosty morning!

Getting ready to put some hunt invites out here....ya'll get your stuff together!

I love rabbit hunting but haven't been able to find a good spot here. I did go to Stewart County State Forest Friday though and found some good squirrel hunting spots. No deer, but at least found the squirrel areas for another hunt. If anyone ever wants to go out there I'm game. Semper Fi!

Love rabbit hunting! It was a staple growing up on the high plains of Western Kansas. Unfortunately, we don't have much in the way of good rabbit hunting here on the ridge and I'm too darn stubborn to drive half-way across the state just to pop a bunny.

(BTW, I get through your neck of the woods on a reasonably regular basis, either delivering, passing through with a load or on the way to load sheet rock at Temple Inland in Cumberland City.)

I hunt LBL, Barkley WMA, Haynes Bottoms WMA and about any where else I can run the dogs. My reaction time has slowed down some, and I miss alot of bunnies. I need good quick shooters to hunt with so the dogs will stop giving me dirty looks when I miss!

I will be looking to put together a "youth" hunt in the January time frame also. Would like to introduce kids (with thier Dad's) to rabbit hunting. Nothing better than seeing a "young'un" with a big grin on their faces while holding a bunnie and an old beat up 20 gauge shotgun....man, what memories!

That's what those old H&R Pardner's were meant for, right?
