Ok guys, I need your opinions again. I have a XD 40 SC and I'm looking for a good conceal carry holster. I just got an MTAC today and I'm not to sure bout it yet. A lil different than the on the belt holsters I have used. What do all the XD Sub carriers use out there? Any good paddels that actually conceal? Anything better than the MTAC?

Either. IWB conceal better but if there is a good paddel out there that will conceal---that is the way I would go.

I think you'd really be happy. I've tried many, and these have been the best, for me, by far.

You can't get better than K&D's Dakota Defender. cost, workmanship, quality, comfort, on and on it goes. the Only negative is the wait time. Check out their site http://kdholsters.com/. You will also find a lot of info on the on the XDtalk site. Just do a search on Dakota Defender and you will see what I mean.

He's right. K&D makes a great holster. I have the Cochise Defender, but I have a problem wearing when it's warm outside. Being made of leather, it doesn't work well for me as a IWB when it starts to get warm, and that's with the anti sweat deal. I save it for the cooler months.

You probably know this, but the Cochise is IWB or OWB.

Yes it is. It's just that I rarely wear an OWB for a carry holster. There's no way I'm getting rid of it though. The quality and comfort in the cooler months is hard to beat. They're well worth the money, and the wait.

I also have an XD Sub and I have been using the M-Tac for about 6 months and love it. I usually wear slacks and a button up shirt tucked in and it wears great for me. It was a little weird at first, but I became used to it pretty quickly. I wear mine at about 4 o' clock.

I carried an XD9 sub in a Tucker Texas Heritage back in NC. Once I get my HCP, I'll be using it to carry my 4" XD I've got now.

If you're coming to the IDPA shoot tomorrow, I'll have mine with me if you want to check it out.
