Step Away From that Pot Scrubber and Nobody Gets Hurt

Those wacky guys over at the BATFE are at it again. Now they have classified Chore Boy Pot scrubbing pads as NFA. Turns out you can use the pads, along with insulation, to replace the sound dampening material in a silencer. If you already own a silencer, having a stockpile of these pads gould get you in a lot of trouble if the BATFE decides to check up on you. Of course a "stockpile" is not defined, it could be more than one.

This is what happens when the feds don't have enough to do. They start making things up. Now, they'll have to hire a few more drones to keep up with the rule and inspection thereof.

Next thing you know, they will say I cant use them in my crack pipe without a permit!

Question, it looks like it is because it can be used to replace sound dampening materal, so in that case would it be illegal to own extra baffles in case you get a baffle strike and have to replace one.

Yes. A SINGLE suppressor part is illegal to own without a $200 tax stamp. And you are not allowed to have spare parts for a legal suppressor.

Tech Branch of ATF has made some real interesting rulings. The following have each been ruled to be machine guns:

Nails, holes, shoestring, wire, duct tape, angle iron, and my favorite - a single-shot firearm with no magazine.
