Does the 2nd amendment apply to blind people in New Jersey?

I saw this on Faux News this morning. They are trying to say he's an alcoholic so they can deny him the right to own guns. It seems that all they have to do to prove you are an alcoholic is to show that you drink.

1)He did get kicked out of a bar in 2003 for being too drunk. They threw him out into the "public".

2)He did shot himself in the leg with a .357 magnum.

Faux News had this really annoying New Jersey defense attorney on who made a complete fool out of herself. It was almost like Faux News was anti-gun.

if you shoot your self in the leg, or any where else for that matter...... should you really own a gun anymore with out going though some sort of training?

i mean come on, that is for his own safety.

the guy shot himself, not someone else. The .gov has no business trying to protect me from me, that not what a government is there for.

As for 2A being there for a blind guy in New Jersey I don't really see why it would be. It is not there for seeing citizens. What part of infringed don't they understand?

yeah mike your right, my point was he does not seem to know how to handle the weapon and even though it was an accident it could have very easily been some one else that got shot or could be some one else if there is a next time. that is all i was really getting at.

Why is the 2nd amendment even being discussed in this situation? New Jersey requires a gun owner’s card and a special permit is required to own handguns, they even have a form you have to submit to be an employee of an FFL. Of course the 2nd amendment doesn’t apply to blind people; it doesn’t apply to citizens with sight either.

Yes that was a slam against Fox News. Yes I do watch them but sometimes they are so stupid it embarrasses me. If it wasn't for Faux News, John Stewart would be back to doing stand up......It ain't just Fox either. MSNBC, CNN are just as bad. I like HLN becuase that gal is soooo hot!

Mmmm... Robin Meade. She's still making it happen even after 10 years. That is the only news I will watch.

I would think a blind person could shoot accurately at a sound under some conditions after loads of practice. Maybe not this specific individual, but I have seen some amazing feats by blind people and think it could be done. They should have the same rights as anyone else, which should very simply be "you can have it until you prove that you should not have it". I am not going to debate whether shooting yourself is proof enough -- but seeing people who have shot themself by accident still own guns, so its not acceptable to take away the guns of a blind person on those grounds, the same rules must apply to all.
