Kahr cw45 review

I just wanted to post a little bit of a review/feed back for the cw45. I have gotten a ton of good info off of this forum and wanted to return the favor.

I was looking for a light weight, compact, and aimable high caliber gun. The usual favorites such as the lcp, lcr, 442s and the likes for me are really belly guns or point and shoot guns and I was looking for something more accurate.

The cw45 is light weight around 22 ounces full loaded and is very aimable and accurate. I have just completed the 200 round break in period that Kahr recommends and only had one failure to eject an empty casing other than that the gun preformed as it should.

For the money and the caliber I believe that this is a great value.

Tried my wilson combat mags today in the kahr and they worked fine.

I once had a P-45 and a CW-45. I kept the CW because it has a traditionally rifled barrel with is safe with cast lead bullets.

It's not my favorite range gun (about 2 pounds too light) but it is great for carry and is managable.

Just got a cw45 the other day and like so far. Quite manageable with range ammo. Not tried defense loads yet. A little big for pocket carry but not bad, using a pocket holster. Have been a little worried about cast ammo, what experience have any of you had?

why would you worry about cast ammo? The barrel has traditional rifling so no problems there...though the weight of the gun does make for quite an impact with the strong stuff ;-D I used to have one myself. For its size accuracy is very good.
