OK, maybe I have one gun too many, But would like to hear some novel ways of storing the multiple holsters, mags, mag carriers, etc. that fill a bushel basket now.

I have a .50 cal ammo box I keep loaded mags and loaded stripper clips in. For the guns that most often go to the range I keep those loaded mags in another .50 cal ammo can that always goes to the range with me. I try to keep one loaded mag with the gun they belong to.

Holsters, ( I don't have many), gun rugs, basically anything soft sided are in an old ruck I have. And that sits in the ammo bunker with the rest of my gun stuff.

This gun hobby can get out of control, worse than the wardens purses and shoes.

Yeah, but I didn't pay more than 5 bucks for any one item. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it. :D

I have the typical detritus, holsters, product boxes, brass waiting to clean/reload, a few thousand bullets, filling up a couple of drawers and one 24" X 36" cabinet area in the bedroom. Then another bedroom shelf with targets, chrony, brass processing machine. And another shelf full of empty pistol cases. I keep the pistols in the safe and transfer the ones I want to shoot into their factory pistol cases to go in the range bag. The bedroom-stored junk is mostly stuff I think would age better in the house climate-control heat and AC rather than collecting cobwebs out in the shop. Takes up a lot of space. A lot of it I don't use very much but am too much a packrat to throw anything away.

For going to the range I got a big cheap 36" long "israeli deployment bag" from cheaper than dirt. It is big enough to hold 4 or 5 pistols in their pistol cases (I carry mags for each pistol in each pistol's case), toolkit, foam rubber pad to keep from scratching up the guns on the concrete shooting benches, targets, masking tape, hearing/eye protection and ammo. The bag has sufficient extra space to pack in the chrony and a cheap tripod when I take the chrony. None of the stuff is individually heavy but pack up four pistols and a few hundred rds of ammo, all of a sudden the bag weighs a ton. I glued a 3/8" plywood board in the bottom to stiffen it up. Works fine but gets very heavy. Maybe it is a mistake to have a range bag too big, because it can get so heavy its a PITA to lug around.
