Whats goin on? Buddie of mine(Murgatroy) told me to join here to look for a handgun. I moved to JC a few months ago from Waynesville NC for work. I figured since Im in the resident state of shooting ****, I better get something to shoot with. I've been fingering as many as I can and still havent found what I really like. It has become aparent I need to pick either something I can CC, or something that shoots well. Im a small guy, Im sure Murg will explain just how small when he see's this. I tried to carry a co-workers Ruger P95 and its just too bulky for me, yet it shoots awesome. So I think my search looks something like this:

Sub $400

Semi-Auto

Sub 1" wide

3"-3.5" Barrel(Would love a 3.5-4" tho)

Single action

I really want a full 3 finger grip, but it seems I'll be stuck with 2 finger.

I've looked at Kel-Tec, Taurus, SIG, Kahr, and Bersa. Any I'm missing? I just havent found anything that fits my needs yet.

Or maybe I just need to plan on holstering it and getting a respectable, larger weapon...

Howdy and Welcome to TGO :D

Don"t have much to pass on as I carry either a Glock 22 or Glock 20, full size guns. Just keep trying them on for size and you will eventually find the one for you. Good luck!

I may have solved the problem. Taurus 709 slim. Pearce makes a extension for the magazine to let your pinkey finger fit! Ima go hold it again tomorrow and see what I think the second go round.

Welcome to the forum,

I run the ruger LC9 as a bug or a primary for deep concealment, it comes with a pinky extension base plate and a flat base plate for the mag.

Shooters Edge in Piney Flats has quite a few rentals to try.

If they don't have the LC9 and you would like to take it for a drive PM me I can meet you up there or some where else.

A friend of mine has the Taurus 740 and he loves it. I have considered getting one myself for a conceal carry or bug. And Welcome.
