Yeah, MBUS. Really!? Crap. Get what you pay for I guess, it was like half the cost of the all metal one. I plan on upgrading down the road to a full float hand guard rail, this was just to get things going.

You will be ok. You have to shoot alot real quick. I heard this is only on full auto guns, but have never seen one melt. Or seen one in a photo. Shoot it a few times and see.

Also you can put it up for sale. Get a metal front for a few dollars more. I have the YHM on one of mine and love them.

i have one it has been great except you cant shoot crappy steel wolf ammo with it bc it will jam it up. Requiring extensive cleaning of the barrel. Some might not think this is a big deal but an AK47 will shoot the cheapest ammo made all day without an issue.

My M&P 15 has been flawless--even with Russian ammo. Get the polymer-covered stuff and stay away from the old lacquer-covered (which, fortunately, is getting harder to find) and you'll be fine.
