Actually this model is heavier than the LCR and the Smiths.

then why would you want a plastic gun if you can get a metal one that is lighter and cheaper?

They offer a poly and SS model that I like that is also lighter than my SP101 and SR9c. I also one saw at the Gun Show that felt good and was priced at $349., that's pretty cheap imo. Plus,I don't care for the LCR or Charter's and the S&W's are too pricey.

Looks like a good buy, poly and SS would also be corrosion free.

I am not sold on plastic revolvers. I carry a Smith and Wesson model 36 that was made over 40 years ago and it still shoots great.Plastic revolvers must be cheaper to manufacture than a real revolver. Since you did ask for thoughts and not opinions, I will not say what I think about Taurus. Taurus International Malfunctioning makes some really cool weapons. I here they are coming out with a carbine with 35 round magazines. I am always interested in Taurus firearms and I have not given up on them.

really my only concern would be long term durability, that is not just for this gun but all "plastic" guns. i wold like to see one that is 30+ years old that is fired often though it's life dropped a few times been though exteme heat and cool cycles ect.
