New Posts

When I log on to TGO I look through the new posts and when I am done I click mark forums read. Sometimes I come in and click the new posts function and it says no new posts. After several hours? Well, maybe. BUT, Many is the time when I have logged out and logged right back in and clicked new posts again and low and behold, there's a page or two of new posts. Weird.

....unless it's like a flash mob thing and everyone posts a bunch of stuff all at once. J/k This happens a lot. It's nothing I would say needs attention, I just wonder if anyone else has ever noticed?

AND yes I have checked the post times and they indicate they were posted before hand. Personally, I think it's a conspiracy:tinfoil:

Must be something I'm doing, since no one has chimed in with the same.

It's still doing it though. I just went through several threads I have been reading for the last few days and there were new posts on each. Clicked new posts before hand and nada.

If I correctly understand what you mean...it definitely does not happen to me. I am on TGO off and on most days, and check it every so often for new posts, the same way you said you do. Almost always after even as short a period as 5 mins there have been several posts since i last checked...wonder if it could be something in either your settings or your internet provider?

Try it again, clear your cache, then click new posts

I have a theory. I am putting it to the test right now.

When I click safari, I immediately click my history icon and double click on the first TGO item I see. It's faster than typing. I wonder if sometimes I am bringing up a page that has had the "mark forums read" button clicked, and in so doing, it is activating the "mark forums read" function without my actually clicking on it.

I made a bookmark (I never use bookmarks, I'm too lazy) to put me at the homepage everytime instead of some random page I recently visited before clicking "new posts"

What a complete waste of time typing all that rubbish^ over trivial crap!
