Good strategy. Plant these little gun control seeds while the GOP contenders are busy bickering with each other. Go full bore with the national long gun registry when re-elected.

And most won't care because there will be no place left to shoot. Used ARs will flood the market. "Freaked out" urbanites will rejoice.

They're not even hiding behind the old "public safety" argument any longer. Guns are icky and that's enough reason for them to restrict their use. They admit that Heller says you can own guns, but it ends there. They want your gun to be a worthless paperweight.
