.380+P in Bersa Thunder

Has anyone ever shot .380+P throught their Bersa Thunder .380.

This is the gun my wife has, and let me add she is very accurate with it, and she will be going for her permit soon, and I would like for her to carry +Ps when she starts carrying if at all possible.

Not sure there is such a thing as SAAMI spec for .380acp +p... I could be wrong. At the very least it is simply implying that the load exceeds the SAAMI spec for the cartridge. I would be wary. Blowback pistols generally don't fare too well with excessive pressure, since it is not contained by a delay mechanism when fired. Wouldn't it be more suitable to find a 9mm that she is comfortable with, if you really think the extra power is necessary? That is essentially what you're doing, except with a significant loss in safety margin.

If I step her up in caliber it will be to a .40, which is an option, but I was just curious if anyone has ever shot +Ps in their thunder .380

My wife has one of these now and I would be interested to know as well. I will check the paperwork that came with the gun to see if there is any mention of shooting +p in it...

The +p on the Magtech & Cor-Bon loads is simply marketing and/or overpressure rounds which no manufacturer would reccomend the use of... there is no SAAMI recognized spec for .380acp +p

Safety? Well thats not very exciting. Who doesnt want to shoot at a BG and instead scare the hell out of him when the gun blows up in your hand? ;-D....im j/k, calm down....
