.380+P in Bersa Thunder

Not sure there is such a thing as SAAMI spec for .380acp +p... I could be wrong. At the very least it is simply implying that the load exceeds the SAAMI spec for the cartridge. I would be wary. Blowback pistols generally don't fare too well with excessive pressure, since it is not contained by a delay mechanism when fired. Wouldn't it be more suitable to find a 9mm that she is comfortable with, if you really think the extra power is necessary? That is essentially what you're doing, except with a significant loss in safety margin.

If I step her up in caliber it will be to a .40, which is an option, but I was just curious if anyone has ever shot +Ps in their thunder .380
