Never had a revolver malfunction in over 30 years of shooting them. S&W and Colt are my favorites and never never fail to fire when I pull the trigger.

Aside from the guns...I tend to like the people who shoot revolvers more than the semi-auto diehards.

Now as much as I love my autos, this is truth. Revolver guys are laid back and generally calmer and more down to earth.

I cut my teeth on revolvers, and have a real affection for them. Still have a couple of J frame Smiths. But, I switched over to semi auto when the Model 59 S&W came out. If you own one (or more) of the top shelf auto loaders, and it's not 100% reliable, it ain't the gun's fault. Under those circumstances, carrying a wheel gun is probably a good idea.

There's more to go wrong with a semi-auto, but reliable is reliable. If I'm ever pushed into a fight, I'll feel most comfortable with my Glock or M&P. A malfunction is the least of my worries.
