Glock 27 - Brass on ejection port

Picked up a used 3rd gen G27 from a member last weekend and finally got to shoot it today. After the first few mags I noticed brass on the lip of the ejection port. Is that something I should be concerned with? When I cleaned it I found brass shavings all over the inside of the gun (little flakes). I was shooting WWB ammo, and didn't have any issues except when using one of my G23 mags (3 failures to feed). I used 4 different G27 mags (with and without pinky extensions) and they were fine. I inspected the spent brass and the only signs of wear that I saw were where it had slid along the top of the mag. I'll try to upload some pictures.

Sample of the brass on the ejection port:

Is this what newer gen3 springs look like? Could this be the problem with the failure to feed with the G23 mags?

Nope. The brass shavings are normal and as long as the ejection is consistant to the side all's good. The G-23 mag in a G-27 can cause FTF problem's due to finger/hand pressure on it's base while shooting. I make myself relax my little finger when shooting a G-27 with G-22 or 23 mags. Other factor's can be to loose of a grip or a bad mag as you know but first try to put less pressure on the mag base.
