This article is interesting if you have time to wade thru it. A long piece recounting in tedious detail the history of Holder's earlier scandals--

Articles: The Ethics of Eric Holder

Perhaps it is a biased "hit piece" and of course all sources of info should be taken with a grain of salt.

It paints a picture of an incompetent, self-serving, deceitful, arrogant slimy scumbag of a bureaucrat. Some of the actions do not seem to even qualify as "self serving" because there appears no benefit for Holder-- only near-certain hazard for his career. Unless there was money under the table. Or simple spiteful desire to screw things up for the hell of it. Or criminally stupid. Or all three.

In each case, his defense after being found out, was to pretend incompetence and negligence on the job. Which also seems the modus operandi on the Gunwalker response.

Maybe this really is long-standing gross incompetence, stupidity, and habitual criminal inattention to his job duties. But in that case, if he really is that dumb, then why does he keep getting awarded high positions? Well, the same can be asked about many politicians I suppose.

However, if "incredibly stupid, lazy, and irresponsible on the job" does not pass the smell test, then his previous success in getting away with malfeasance by pretending incompetence, may have taught him to believe that he can cynically get away with ANYTHING merely by pretending gross incompetence?

It seems doubtful that Holder can really be that stupid and incompetent. Even if it happens to be true, then at some point doesn't stupidity rise to a criminally punishable offense? Military officers have been court martialed basically for being stupid. Doctors, lawyers and police can go to jail if they are stupid enough, even if they apparently had good intentions and were not obviously intentionally negligent?

If holder committed perjury he needs to be charged and fired.

If he didn’t, both him and the head of the BATF need to tell Congress and the NRA to go pound sand.

I don’t care if guns were lost in Mexico and even if they were its not any more a violation of the law than a DEA agent or a drug task force losing drugs in an undercover deal.
