I've got an izula but I am looking for a little bigger blade. What is the difference between the esee rat5 and the ontario rat5? Other than sheath I really don't see a lot of difference.

Controversy, mostly.

You get a lifetime unconditional warranty with Esee, a better sheath, and the comfort knowing if you use your knife as a prybar, Esee will send you a brand new one. I have a 3 and 5...if you want something a little bigger than the izula, take a look at the Esee 3.

I have a few 3 inch knives but the 5 is what I really think will fit the bill. I am looking for something along the size of the lmf 2 but better quality. I've been beating the crap out of my cold steel bowie bushman for almost a year and it has held up remarkably well but I am wanting something a little more robust. For the money I like my bushman but I know at some point I may exceed it's limitations and want something more durable. Plus the made in the US just makes me feel proud.
