Mystery of: Co-Witnessing Magnifiers

Recommended Posts

What is the BIG deal?

Are there no standard listed heights for iron sights, red dots, and magnifiers? I realize that Aimpoint and Eotech both make proprietary magnifiers for the respective sight systems, however, I am not willing to shell out another $500. Even then, compatibility and co-witnessing with iron sights are not guaranteed nor heights advertised.

If I were to start a business, I would sell an economical flip mounted magnifier with multiple risers to cowitness multiple height requirements of different sighting systems. It appears to me that at this time, no such thing fills this likely highly desired niche.

Anyway, rant over... Does anyone know of any good cost efficient flip-mounts, flipmount/magnifer combos, risers that would line up correctly with a Aimpoint Pro with riser removed? (Without the riser, its really low hugging the rails)
