Well, I just ordered my Rock River Arms 458 SOCOM upper from D&T arms! I have everything I need except the upper and the scope. It should be here in 60-90 days, I hope it goes faster. lol Here is a list of things I have for the 458 so far:

Badger Ordinace tac latch

Double star lower

Ace skeleton stock with recoil pad and CMS mount for sling

Redding dies

new star line brass

primers and powder

300gr JHP bullets

case length gauge

tac star pistol grip

Things on my to-get list while I wait for the upper to get here:

leupold vx-II 3-9x50 matte finish

timney trigger group

1 piece scope mount

any other ideas on things I should get for this weapon would be appreciated, especially if you have any of this items for sale! Pictures to follow when everything is together.

I'm not sold on the leupold vx-II, thinking of the leupold deltapoint or something like that,anyone have any thoughts or ideas?

I'll be glad to let you try it out. The guys at D&T said they had the upper for awhile - I guess we all got interested at the same time.

I put together a new lower for this one but I'm looking for a new stock (the collapsible one seems to be a problem waiting to happen) and glass. I did go out and 'function test' it the other day. Threw an old scope and a collapsible stock on it and put a handful of rounds down range. This is not your father's AR15! Its a blast.

Got my dies in the mail yesterday. Time to start working up loads now...

I've had good luck with my Magpul ACS stock. I had a fixed RRA stock on it to begin with, then changed it out so I could use the Magpul "recoil pad".
