This is a pretty small .22, using a Yankee Hill Mite we had some fun with Aguila 60grain subsonics, RWS subsonics and manually cycled colibras. This is the smallest of the 2206/422 series, some time after the S&W Escort.

Full Size Models are 422 ( Blued ) and Stainless 622.

Bought a 422 with adjustable sights late 80's.

They are Great Shooters with the magazine release in front of the grip and frame mounted barrel in the bottom of the slide.

Take down is done with an empty 22 casing inserted between the top of the slide when lowered relieves pressure on a pin to remove the metal insert in the top of frame.

These Slim Accurate Pistols are no longer made.

Short version of history. S&W Escort is first. After that 2206 in stainless steel, they make them in 4.5 and 6". 422 is black aluminum and 622 is silver aluminum, both weigh the same Very accurate. Many say as accurate barrels as 41 but they lack same balance and weight as 41, and don't have as good as trigger. Low bore axis and weight, and thread adapter and wrench by EWK Smith & Wesson 422 Series : EWK Arms

make this the ultimate supressor host in 4.5" (rare) and 6".

2214 is black aluminum shorty and 2213 is brushed aluminum shorty.

Mags for the 2206/622/422 is the same as S&W 41. 2214/13 is 8 rd but can take the 10 rd 41 mag.

Back in the day the firing pin was the achilles heels but Jack First gunshop in SD and EWK in OH made better tempered aftermarket pins.

I have owned 2214, 622, 422(both lengths), 2206 (both lengths). My favorite is 6" black 422.

I have owned one for many years. This is my favorite "Fishing Vest Kit Gun" and often accompanies me on "neighborhood Walks" where main threat is animals other than humans. Accurate and easy to conceal.
