The Ultimate projectile and weapon!

In our search for the best weapons for everyday use as well as SHTF scenarios, our discussion has led us at the shop to discuss the future and our thougts on the weapons and the regulatory agency that will oversee it.

First the basic weapon:

Simple, easily obtained (so far regulations still allow for it), available in multiple sizes for the job at hand.

The weapon:

Accuracy using this weapon is dependent upon your natural skill level and the amount of training you do.

If you switch between weapon sizes often, you may have problems becoming procficient in them.

The RTF is the agency tasked with regulating the use and proliferation of these weapons! Some of you may already be obtaining your own projectiles, that's fine unless you go to this level:

Uses of the ultimate weapon. Defense and fun!

Group throwings

Defense throwings: (warning very similar to group throwings but targets are different)

Defense in the city district:

The projectiles are easily stockpiled and hidden. You can even conceal it under items commonly found at home

We have started to delve into the variants, such as sling shots needing an additional tax stamp, and the upgrading of river rock to AOW due to their awesome BC and skipping capability.

Is this a destructive device?

Open for discussion now. Please stay on topic and keep the drifting to a minimum.

Brent I too have been thinking this through. Here's my thoughts. Lately I've been simplifying my weapon choices and ammo choices to make the most viable worst case scenario choices. I recently acquired a revolver but that got me thinking about making even better weapons/survival choices. I figured ammo availability, carry-ability, conceal-ability, and efficiency were key components. So after searching to the end of the internet through swords, knives, spears, auto's, revolvers, black powder, bows, and calibers I made some choices.

I had already unwittingly begun to stockpile the best ammo around and realized my best choice were rocks! I mean seriously who wants to get hit in the head with a rock! The unlimited resources around from abandoned quarries, river beds, bluffs, my own backyard, and driveways means I can always have a supply of readily available weapons that can also be easily carried.

My weapon platforms are also nearly unlimited. With a simple slingshot I can use pea-gravel like shotgun ammo and then quickly change to larger jagged rocks for close in heavy damage or switch to smooth brook stones for long range accuracy. I can also use a simple sock filled with different weights and sized stones to make less-than-lethal to lethal club. If it gets really bad I can always just use what God gave me and throw them with great accuracy.

My biggest question is if I want to break large boulders or obsidian into smaller weapon specific sizes would I need a manufacturer license? I know once the SHTF it won't matter, but I'm just thinking about getting ready before it all goes bad. Share you thoughts.

BTW - here are my "hidden in plain sight" stockpiles of ammo. The rear "walkway" is what I'm going to use for shotgun type ammo for the high powered sling shot and the front "driveway" is my larger heavy duty weapon stockpile. I may need to move closer to a river bed to get an ample supply of long range "sniper" loads.

Rear "walkway" :D

What a cache!

My biggest concern how much you have to have before the ATF (I'm assuming they govern this) considers constructive intent and whether or not it is safer to have a manufacturers license?

Nate, I don't think we can continue with the sling shot discussion as it appears to be a military application

I prefer the variety known a Genesis Granite, as the local variety of Limestone is to soft or brittle. The size is standard GAB for my purposes. You say it is what I grew up on.

As kids, we made and used leather slings. They were surprisingly accurate. I killed a number of starlings off of power lines with one.

Would Rock salt be legal under the Geneva Convention?

No. They ruled that it caused undue suffering in open wounds and so it is not legal. The irony is that lightweight obsidian, that has been pre-fragmented so that it breaks apart on impact and tumbles inside the wound channel, is perfectly legal. Go figure!

I told it bounces around inside the target and makes a nasty mess.

Since we don't have any of this naturally in West TN, is there any problem on buying this from a different state, or do I need to buy direct from a TN resident? Can I buy it from another state as long as it goes through a dealer?

You can order it but remember standard hazmat shipping fees apply and it can only ship via ground.

Drive up here to to Middle TN. ( Gods Country ) I'll do a FTF. I'll even help you pick them up out of the drive way .

Hell,

I noticed today there even reloadable .

We grow them like potatoes in Middle TN. Just bring a pick, and take all you want. They'll grow back.
