Advice on gun cases

I need one for my new Ruger Gunsite Scout, but there seems to be a whole button out there without a lot of difference between 'em. Anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks for the correction, and no, I don't have an Iphone. I screw up my typed conversations all by myself.

what are you going to do with it? I use the cheapest thing I can get, but I do not carry mine so the handle/snaps/hinge can be cheap. One cheapo rifle case lives in the trunk, 6 or so cheap handgun cases carried in the range bag(s). All they have to do for me is keep the gun from being hit by anything shifting while driving or load/unload the trunk, mostly they exist to protect optics for me. If you actually carry them around, bang them around, or whatever else, your needs will drive up the costs from there, from the cheap junk that I use all the way up to the lockable, durable gorrila test ones you would use if you took the gun on a plane ride.

It's really just for when I transport long guns in my truck. I transport my handguns by carrying them (on my person not like kwik) since I have a permit. I just feel uncomfortable driving around town with a rifle or shotgun in the passenger seat given how prone most people are to freaking out about seeing something like that. I think I would prefer a hard case, just seems better in case it does get banged into anything.

if its in the truck, get the cheapest one you can get like I do the, they run $30 or so for rifles if I remember --- the last couple I got were handguns and those were $10 at sportsmans wareshouse or academy. I carry my small guns on my permit but the handguns with red dots are too fragile for that and a couple of them are just too big to carry without a lot of hassle. All it has to do in your case is protect your scope (if any), and hide it, and for that anything works.

As stated, the cheap plastic ones will work fine for trips to the range and back. If you're flying with it, get the Pelican case.
