My first revolver!

I've been thinking about getting a lightweight carry revolver for awhile and when this one came in the store on a trade, I decided to pick it up. So far I love it. Being an auto/SA guy my biggest problem with a revolver has always been the double action trigger but the LCR is about as good as I could hope for. Even the Smith Pro series have heavier DA than I would like (although they are sweet!) Anyway, her it is with the Hi-Viz FO front sight which are a very nice addition IMO. BTW - the Tuff QuickStrips are a must have if you are going to carry extra loads.

VERY nice :(

I couldn't get used to that heavy of a trigger pull, or I would have kept my SP101. I'm used to my XD's and compared to the DA of a wheel gun, its like clicking air!

I do love them though ... I'd almost prefer a cocked & locked SA kind of like a P238! I'd be all over them then!

Enjoy Smith!

You mean the SP101 you just got a couple weeks ago! Haha. Yeah the trigger on the LCR is definitley something I can handle better than the other revolvers I 've played with.

Yup :( I can do DA/DAO if the trigger is lighter ... Too heavy = can't hit the broad side of a barn. Add in .357 mag and I can't even hit the farm :P LOL ...

I'll stick with my girly triggers atleast for now! Nice pickup though! :)

The trigger on the LCR isn't really that much tougher than the trigger on, say, my Kahr. At least not from what I can tell playing with them in the store. Noticeably easier to pull than the J-frame S&Ws I've gotten my grubby mitts on. Definitely suitable for defense work, and really didn't seem like it would be all that bad at the range. It's no SA pull, but it's surprisingly good.

Congrats on the great pickup!

I really like the look and feel of those LCRs...I just bought my first revolver a few weeks ago too. It's the middle one on my avatar.

So then what's the bottom one on your avatar?

Trigger pull on LCR. I can pull it with my pinky. Not sure where people say its heavy, hard whatever. It is the best on any DA revolver I've ever pulled. The wifey turned in her smith DAO and went with the Ruger because of the light pull. Recoil or lack of was second in trading up.

My LCR isn't my first revolver and probably won't be my last, but it's the one I carry all the time. I think the trigger is sweet! Gold Dot short barrel .357's are great for carry.
