I am now the proud owner of a Ruger Gunsite Scout rifle. I will not let that hissing noise coming from my truck bring me down about this. Even if my truck has impeccably horrible timing when it comes to needing repairs.

Don't worry, pics are coming, I just wanted to mess with everybody for a bit about the pictures. The truck doesn't seem to be anything major. Topped off coolant and so far that seems to have fixed it. I'll find out for sure later today.

Found it in stock at GnL. Paid $800 before taxes. Looking into getting a scope from another member in a trade as we speak. I'll still learn how to shoot it with just the sights before putting the scope on, but if I can go ahead and get a scope in a trade I'm going to. I was honestly hoping to get one from Nashville Sporting Arms since my old teacher is one of the people there but they said they had one in stock for all of a week before a guy came in, put the money on the counter and asked for the Gunsite. They even told me they could put my info down and lemme know when another one came up but they already had another guy in line in front of me for one.

$800 doesn't seem too bad. I've heard availability is pretty low, so I expected it to be higher. We will, of course, want a range review when you get a chance.

How did the truck turn out?

Nothin' major on the truck. Fuel injectors were a little dirty, coolant was a little low. Topped off coolant, ran some seafoam through and it's fine.

Put 10 rounds through today, not tryin' to hit anything in particular, just wanted to shoot it. Recoil was no problem whatsoever, factory sights were great. I'll have a pic up soon with a scope on it.

Hold off on that +1 for the truck. It's slowly leakin' oil. Probably the rear main seal. I put some stop leak through it (I got the most expensive one because it was the only one that said it specifically repairs rear main seals). I also went ahead and got an estimate in case I do need repairs. Looking at $675 if this thing don't get it's act together. In better news I've finally decided on a name for the rifle. Gurthang. It's from Tolkien's works, meaning Iron of Death. A very appropriate name for a rifle I think, or a golf club.
