Mosin Nagant sighting in

As silly as it may sound (or maybe not) I am looking to use my hex mosin to hunt with this fall. I feel I will probably need to sight it in and do some adjusting. What is the best way to go about it. I am a novice at doing such things. I don't mind reading stuff, but pictures are awesome:D

Why would using a Nagant but dumb for hunting? It's a very powerful and awesome gun! I am not a hunter, but I wouldn't hesitate to take my Nagant on a hunt. Even if I didn't hit any vital organs, if I hit it in the leg, the impact would sheer the poor little deers leg off. It's a very accurate and fun weapon! However, I could not imagine being a Russian soilder in the Battle of Stalingrad, in sub freezing tempatures holding off the Germans with a bolt action rifle. The stories these guns could tell!

Just a matter of setting the elevator rear sight to the correct height, and windage is adjusted by tapping the front sight left or right with a punch as needed. Its not so silly either, I used an m44 the first year I hunted down here (from western NY originally, and at the time I moved you couldn't use rifles just shotguns). This year if I get out I think it'll be an enfield sporter, or my 30-30 depending where I'm hunting.

My only problem with my mosin is the rear sight is so narrow that it is sometime difficult for me to get a clear sight picture. I think they have ring conversions don't they? That would help my iron sighting out a bit.
