yeah i always loved my .22's they are just fun guns to shoot and an awesome way to get tons of trigger time and work on marksmanship/fundamentals without breaking your pockets .. and the Glock is basically my home defense gun though i have put about 300 rounds through it, but it's important to train with what you would rely on in that type situation

How do you like the Ncstar sight? I was looking for reviews and found little, i ended up going with a Crossman, but would like your opinion for future reference.

love it actually .. saw it in a local shop for $90 but found it on amazon i believe for around half that price, it has 3 brightness settings in both red and green and 4 different reticule choices, and seems bright enough in full daylight even on the lowest setting, as far as build quality it seems outstanding to me but i dont have alot of experience with high end optics either, havent had to change the battery yet but from what i heard they last forever and it comes with one in it and a replacement

Yea i like the different reticle choices, i'm sure i would be switching them out after each mag ha, but i can never make my mind up. Was it pretty easy to zero in? From what i can tell the adjustments seem pretty straight-forward; can't wait to try it on the range. Also does it have an auto-off setting? I hear thats one of the big complaints for these sights.

Poor? No. You have a perfect first set up and I wouldn't be in any hurry to add new gun's until I'd developed the skill set to be ready for them. I'd suggest you invest in ammunition and a good pistol training school. Next, find an Appleseed shoot and go to it for some good rifle instruction. After this consider a 12 ga. pump shotgun and then a cood centerfire rifle, as cool as AK's are I'm not sure that's your best route but if you find some friend's to let you shoot their rifle's then you'll know. You are doing just fine, in fact better than I did when I first started out.

no it does not have an auto off feature the top knob that selects brightness/color is also the on/off switch i did leave it on accidentally overnight once but the battery still seems fine months later, and it is fairly easy to zero in, it has elevation and windage adjustments clearly marked just use the small allen wrench that is included ....as for the waiting on the AK and just buying ammo for now ... (thanks to mostly shooting .22lr)i have plenty of ammo, and though i'm not "trained" in any tactical classes (unless you count hunters ed in seventh grade lol) i did grow up around guns and have always owned several at any given time from the time i was 12 up to around 30 but a serious lull in finances forced me to sell off everything i had at that point and just now getting back into basically just shooting for fun .. admittedly the vast majority of my trigger time has been with .22 rifles and 20/12 guage shotguns, havent owned as many but im no stranger to pistols and higher powered rifles, i mostly shoot for fun but i do take safety seriously of course and in my belief any trigger time adds up to building your fundamentals ... unless you mean the AK in particular in which case i honestly just prefer it for the heavier round and the reliability ... i love the readily available accessories for the AR platform but my friends all have reliability issues with their AR's and the AK is just well an AK .. and im not an ELR guy anyway so the slightly shorter range isnt an issue to me
