Personally, I'd go with the 3.5lb Henry AR-7 or 3.25lb Marlin Papoose if i needed a take-down .22. I'd carry the extra weight just to get away from that uncovered trigger. Oh, and the Henry and Marlin are both in the $250 range.

Just my thoughts, your mileage may vary.

Thanks to Dolomite for posting - it is an interesting thing to see. For a price point around $150 (which, I am sure, would mean a major $$$ loss for the company) it might be a cool thing to have. As it is, I'd be more interested in one of the Rossi youth, single shot .22/.410 combos that Wally sells for around a hundred and forty bucks. Of course, I don't do any serious, back-country hiking so I don't have the same load weight concerns as someone who does.
