Then we will most likely stay in Iraq.

That is an interesting thought. We've bribed Israel to sit on their hands for the better part of 20 years. We get asked to leave Iraq. Untie Israel and you definitely stay in Iraq one way or the other. To what end - I don't even want to imagine.

I'm not sure I buy the news coming out today, but that said, I've been sleeping lightly on new moon days for years kind of expecting it. November 25th is the next one.

Israel will not tolerate another nuclear power in the region. In the 80's they bombed a nuke plant in Bagdad. I see no reason why they would not do the same again, especially with our presence right between them and Iran....or con us into doing it for them.

I have been expecting news that they've done it, not more speculation. Last year

was filled with speculation and it looked to be eminent, then.

There has been what I think is propaganda that Iran is somehow losing it's capability

to build a bomb, and even to maintain a reactor. I just don't believe that, at all. Israel

will have to defend itself soon, looking at all the Muslim Brotherhood is taking right

now. Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, not much left for them to grip.

Don't forget the facility in Syria. When the Israelis get ready, and the US and the Saudi's turn a blind eye, it will happen.

I fully agree. I think we'll wake up one mornin and find out the Iranian nuke infrastructure and capability has been nuked. The Israelis need to send a powerful message to these emerging nutty islamist states forming all over the middle east. Whupping the toughest guys on the block is an excellent way to do just that. I'm all for the pesky jews putting a nuclear cloud over iran. We should have done it several years ago. If we had, we wouldnt have a bunch of dead and wounded soldiers killed and maimed by iranian shaped charge explosives.

And when we get our country back, we should restock Israel's nuke pile.

It's really disturbing having an apologizer-in-chief.

World War III

WWIII could just as easily be non-nuclear, with the entire region going to the

Muslim Brotherhood, lately. But Israel may end up having to defend itself with a

nuke or two, first. The idea of a WWIII stemming from muslim aggression isn't

too far fetched, though. It really depends on who Russia and China ends up

taking sides with, or what some dictator in Venezuela decides to do along side

a Middle East action. All of them know we still have plenty of deterrence stored,

and since we are the only country of record to use nukes, that still has value,

even with our current leadership(?). Didn't Iran make some kind of mutual defense

pact, or something to that effect, lately?

If Israel doesn't have to resort to nukes, it could be a very long and bloody jihad.

Between Hilary and that doofus-in-chief, I don't think we have a foreign policy,

other than apology and a desire to give up our own sovereignty. The liberal mantra.

Dear Israel,

I pray for you, now pour it on them. Turn that crap hole into a sheet of glass. Set those persian rugs on FIRE!

Well while we're ruminating on Armageddon, don't discount the fact that both India and the Pakis have nukes too. The Pakis are the most paranoid.

Nobody's gonna get nuked by anybody else. If that happens then we are all screwed, regardless of who pushed the button or dropped the bomb.

Israel has every right to defend themselves conventionally without US intervention. Personally, I would prefer it without US support. Let them take care of business.

If they have Iranian or other Muslim armies at their borders then maybe we should go back. Along with the rest of....uh, who Europe?

Israel has a right to self -defense.

Self-defense in not launching and unprovoked attack on Iran.

If Iran attacks Israel then Israel should retaliate, Israel should not throw the first punch.

WWIII nukes or not will not be pretty.

Yeah, well Israel is not US and they do not have our power of deterence shall we say.

I certainly hope you don't mean our powers of economic deterence. That strategy is just about played out.

No, I'm not talking about economic deterence, military deterence and it's not what it use to be either.

If they attempt it, it's a suicide mission. There is no return for the pilots. There are no strike aircraft in the Israeli Air Force with the fuel range to reach the target, strike, and return home. I'm not sure but I don't think Israel has in air refueling tankers, and they would be sitting ducks over Syria or Jordan if they did anyhow.

In undertaking this mission, they're going to violate Syrian, Jordanian, Iraqi, and Saudi Airspace. I wonder how well that sits with Syria, Jordan and Saudi Arabia? Saudi Arabia might turn a blind eye, but what about Jordan and Syria? Will they scramble fighters? Tip off the Iranians that the Israeli's are on the way? That said, the Israeli's don't screw around, even if the odds are impossible, they'll still attempt it.

The Saudis have guaranteed them safe passage and radio silence.
