Yanahli WMA hunting

Anyone ever deer hunt in the Yanahli WMA? Any tips or advise? I've only hunted on my family's farm which is 2 hours away and was looking to hunt somewhere closer to me in Spring Hill.

Thanks

I have hunted there. It's not bad but I didn't see anything the first time I went on opening day of rifle season. Another hunter I was with did see an 8 pointer and missed his shot. We will be going back soon.

I live 5 mins from it but surprisingly have never hunted it. Most guys park on Sowell Mill Pike on the shoulder. I drive that route daily. I have seen some nice 8pnts carried out. They do pretty well in turkey season. TWRA is out there quite a bit too.

I hunted out there today but never saw anything. I did hear quite a few turkeys. Yanahli is spread out on about 4 of 5 separate pieces of property.

I haven't hunted it in 4 or 5 years, but when i hunted it growing up there where a lot on it, my sisters BF said that he kill a deer on it last year and left it go for a few hours and eat lunch and when he came back the yotes had already gotten to it.
