.40 target rounds

Looking for any recommendations on a good brand / type of .40 S&W load for target shooting... thoughts? I got a box of the BVAC once fired brass and my Sig ate that just fine but there was some inconsistency between the different types of shells that seemed to effect accuracy.

I have a bunch of new 40 for sale on the gear trader- magtrch and UMC Remington. My sig 226 ate them both up great.

well I bought a box of reloads just to break in the gun and get familiar with .40 cal. The bulk of my previous shooting experience has been with rimfire. Really just looking to see what's out there and get some feedback from the folks using or choosing a particular brand/type.

I like Federal, but have had problems with hard primers on the Winchester white box from Walmart.

My XD40 has had nothing but reloads through it.. hah 250 from TN Cartridge Co. and another 400 of my own reloads.

Honestly, the cheapest ammo is what I go with. Generally, I want brass cased so I go with Federal or some other brand that's on sale. The only time I buy Remington is when Dicks has a BOGO50% sale with the 100 round value packs or the 250 round bricks. Other than that, whatever is cheap at Walmart. TulAmmo is russian steel cased ammo and it shoots pretty well and is generally the cheapest ammo on the shelf at $12.97 for 50 rounds vs $16.97 for 50 rounds of Federal.

Apparently, Dick's in Alcoa has their special going on right now and you can get 100 rounds for $29.99 + tax. Not exactly the best deal but $4 cheaper than Walmart's price of Winchester White Box 100 Round Packs. I'm heading up there now so I'll tell you if they have any 100 round packs or 250 round packs as they would probably be a better deal.
