Kimber KPD

Has any one tried out a Kimber KPD .40 yet? i was just now reading up on them and thought i would like to get one because i like kimbers. this was the first time i have heard of them making a plastic framed gun.

It's not their first. There was/is the Ten II models.

It's other name is the SR9 :D Is it me or do they more than resemble each other?

Also, I don't think they make the anymore.:)

I don't think they ever did make them... and yes, they are a twin of the SR-9. Methinks that the design was sold to Ruger, perhaps to see how well it would be received, or because they had no intention of producing it (which makes the 3 years worth of ads I've been seeing for this thing seem rather ridiculous).

Considering the initial success of the SR9, Kimber would be stupid to not release the KPD now... They look even higher quality, and the sights don't look like as much of a snag-fest as the Ruger's do.
