I have these in my house, as well. They are actually quite beneficial to have around, as they feed on other pests (spiders, roaches, bedbugs, etc....), so I usually leave them alone. I just wish they were better looking. These things are hideous, and occasionally scare the hell out of me......particularly when they are scurrying around on the walls. They move like greased lightning.

Correct, they're predatory bugs. Unfortunately their presence means there's other bugs around for them to eat. I try not to squish them, but my wife freaks when she sees one.

I've found a couple in the bathtub before in my house. I think they were trying to get some water to drink that was in the bottom of the tub around the drain and got stuck and couldn't get out, in my case.

Good to know about them being beneficial, if I ever find them anywhere else in my house I will leave them alone. If I find one in my bathtub and I want to take a shower, they are going down the drain with some hot water!

So, this guy is selling a "Talking Centipede." Lonely guy comes along, figures what the heck, and buys it. Takes it home, and asks the bug, "Would you like to go to church with me?" There's no response. He asks again, a little louder, "Would you like to go to church with me?" Again, no response. Now, he figures he's been ripped off. He's gonna ask one more time before he takes the bug back. This time he hollers, "Would you like to go to church with me?" Centipede says, "I'm not deaf! Hold your horses, I'm puttin' my shoes on!" :woohoo:
