Tomorrow is Tennessee's Young Sportsman hunt. How many will be taking someone on the hunt? I will be taking my 15 year old daughter, and my Son will be taking my grandson's. It's going to be a busy weekend!

I'm taking my 11 yr old son tomorrow. It'll be his first time trying to get one on his own! Fingers crossed...

I'll get to carry my 9 yr old and my wife will carry our 15 yr old (he's killed several deer hunting alone the past few years so she'll probably just read a book). Gonna be cool in the morning so maybe they'll be moving about (the deer I mean).

Good luck to all the kids. We are sleeping in tomorrow. We may do a little spot and stalk in the afternoons/evenings if my daughter is up for it. She's had a rough week, so I didn't push back when she asked to just sleep in. She's not really fired up about gun hunting this year. She got a bow last Christmas and she is practicing for a Thanksgivings week bow hunt that we have planned. We may just go get in some bow time this weekend and skip hunting all together.

My eight year old daughter shot a 4pt this morning with my 308. This is her third deer. I’m pretty stoked about having her as a hunting buddy. I was kind of worried when we had a girl, but she’s been going with me sinceshe was five and hunting for two years.

Wow. Beautiful scenery, awesome rifle (have the same one color and all, sadly not suppressed) Nice deer and a pretty lil gal that kicks butt and takes names.

Some folks have it all.

My 13 year old wasn't able to go Saturday morning because of baseball tryouts. He passed on a couple of small bucks Saturday evening, and a doe Sunday morning. A little later Sunday morning, he decided he couldn't pass up another deer and dropped this 4 pointer with one shot from his 257 Roberts. He even loaded his own ammunition for the hunt.

My 8 year old decided to hang out with mom and wait until next year to give it a try.

Well I guess my hunting may be over for the year already. My 9 year old killed two big does and my 15 year old killed a 6 point and two more big does. The freezer will be full with 5 deer so I can sleep in during my "week off to deer hunt" vacation that I take every year (truth be known it's really more fun hunting with them and letting them do the shooting).
