Are these common or worth hanging on to?

Alright I'll rephrase...are they collectors? I have all intentions of keeping them since they were in the family. I just don't know anything about collecting knives.

Didn't mean to hurt your feelings, but you DID ask.

Those two knives have seen lots of service, and they've been well taken care of. If they have sentimental value, keep them and treasure them.

Both...they are well used, high quality pocket knives. I'd be happy to own either one or both of them. Depending on when it was made, the Case could fetch several dollars.

If anyone ever wants to throw away knives please send them my way. I just found my old timer I carried in high school, cleaned it up and gave it a quick sharpen and it was good as new.

Actually even the "old" Old Timers the ones made in the US with carbon steel blades are collectable now.The new ones are made in some Asian country with SS blades
