New Buckmark Hunter

I didn't have a .22 LR pistol to go along with my 10/22 and share ammo so it was time to get one.

I did a little research and in a semi-auto the top two were the Browning Buckmark or the Rugers. I'm not a 1911 person so the Ruger in that format didn't influence me.

I purchased one of the special run Buckmark Hunters from Gander Mountain. 5.5 inch barrel, fiber optic sight, rail and URX grips and including a funky cool Browning rug!! Added a couple extra magazines for a total of three and bought a ton of 22 LR. I think everyone in my family has shot it but me and a good time has been had by all so far. "Here you go, it probably needs cleaning". ;) Seems like a win/win because everyone comes home from the range happy and it's cheap to shoot.

This is the least researched handgun I have ever bought but with all the reviews out there it wasn't too dificult a choice and I got to handle a couple of Rugers, and two different Buckmarks. I liked the ergonomics of the Buckmark better than the Ruger. It was kind of a toss up.

Kind of want a 8 shot S&W kit gun revolver now. Always something.

Nice. I love my BuckMark. I just don't care for the ergonomics of the Ruger, the BM is much more comfortable for me.

You really need the BuckMark Tool (the red thing in the photo). I'll try and find the link to it.

I like the slab sides. If that configuration would have been available I would have selected that style.

We had a Red Dot on ours of some description my Son had on it. Took it off for use at a HCP course.

What's up with the tool?
