Crimson Trace for a PM9

I finally got to the range to check out the new Crimson Trace laser for my Kahr PM9.

I bought one when CT had a $50 rebate a couple months ago.

Accuracy and allignment was perfect right out of the box and the installation was easy and straightforward. Fit and finish was up to CT par.

I have had the PM9 for over 4 years now and I was always just ok with this 3 inch barrel 9mm and pie plate sized groups in the COM for PD at 7 yards wasn't ever an issue yet no matter how much I shot it I never impressed myself nor could I seem to improve either... until I added the Crimson Trace laser. I am now able to do consistant three inch groups at 7 yards. No more having to go to the sights and point shooting has become very straightforward; not having to put the gun up to eye level or arm extend allowed me to keep it in closer to my body. Deployment and first shot is now much faster not having to come up to sight level and ready.

I have CTs on a couple of J Frame revolvers but the accuracy and repsonse characteristics on those is nothing compared to the performance brought out with me and this little semi-auto. They made for really dramatic results and the PM9 now has me excited about 7 rounds of 9mm as opposed to 5 rounds of .38spl plus P.

BTW I probably have 600 flawless rounds through this gun now.

Since I don't pocket carry this anymore I added the Pearce extension which feels good.
