I got some mags. for my AR 223 but they are to long to shoot off a rest. I would like to get a 10 round mag to shoot at the range. I will use the hi cap mags. for when the zombie's come. What would be a good quality brand and where can I buy it? Don

Am I mistaken here? I thought AR-10 is .308. Do you have an AR-15 or AR-10?

I think it's an AR-15 and he wants 10 rd mags. AR 10 round mags meaning AR(15)-10 round mags.

20rnd Pmags are awesome. Personally I think they look better to boot. Granted, cool looks don't kill zombies so I have plenty of 30's. BUT, for gunrange use or trotting around the field/wood I'll usually have a 20rnd in place.

Sportsman's Warehouse has some 20 round mags for $4.99. They work well with my AR-15. Not sure I'd run them for self defense, but the range would be great. Not sure if they have one of those places where you are, though. The name is THERMOLD. Never had a jam, but still not sure about competing or self defense.

I run 20 round Pmags and Thermolds and have not had any problems out of any of them.

I kinda didn't make that clear in the title. "Sorry" I have an AR15 and was asking about 10 round mags. I have a table at the Hendersonville gun show this weekend, I will try to find a P mag. Don

The 20 round Thermolds can be had for dirt cheap and mine work just fine for the range. I'd grab 30 round PMags in an actual emergency situation, but for the range, I can't find fault with the Thermolds. If I remember correctly there were some older Thermolds that have bad reviews, but I couldn't find any negative reviews on the newer ones that are made in North Carolina.
