my new 1911

It is a Ruger SR1911 Talo Edition. I will have it out of layaway Friday. according to Ruger and Talo it is 1 of 250 to be made.

need to clean that grip safety up. the lgs that had it got it in friday for their ruger day when the rep brought it and it somehow sat that long.

I got to fondle both of them this past weekend at Shooter's. I was very impressed with what Ruger has come out with. If I didn't have a 1911 on the way, I would have bought the regular model.

I have no idea how they shoot, but based on fit, finish, and trigger, I think the Ruger is better than Kimber (former Kimber owner). Considering the cost of the two, Ruger is a much better value as well.
