I ran across an article this morning about 2 Great Danes in Shrewsbury, UK. Maddison is blind, and her best friend, Lily is her constant companion and seeing eye dog. Their previous owners gave them up because they could no longer support them.

Just a thought. In the age of Twitter, Facebook, etc... maybe we can help them, even though they are across the pond.

I know, via Twitter, that Cesar Millan (the Dog Whisperer) is in the UK right now, and would like to try to get his attention on these dogs. Maybe to adopt, but at least to do a story on them. With his exposure, Maddison and Lily stand a much better chance of going to a good home without having to be separated. I thought I'd put this here, and see if any of ya'll can lend your Tweet-fu to trying to get Cesar aware of these girls. Below is the link to the article.

I hope the pair find a good home. no way should they separated. Blind dogs function better than you would think , not that its still not sad. I had one and you couldn't tell he was blind.

Gotta love the " gentle giants" heres an old pic of mine Sadley lost Sadie, the merliquin "white" in April to a hard fought battle with cancer Dice the harlequin, and percy the brindle. They all were rescues.

Our family lost our 2 boxers this year with in a few months of each other so its very heart breaking. We rescued a St Bernard (MAX) who is just over a year old now. Hes big and goofy but gotta love him when he thinks hes a lap dog.

I hope and pray that all works out best for the Danes.
