When in this century will the bypass that comes out around Dickson be finished?.However,I will say Nashville traffic in a monsoon is still better than Atlanta on a suny day.

Are you talking about 840?

I wouldnt get your hopes up, last I heard the communities along the route are trying to block the development of the road.

Yep,that's it.440 ain't bad, but 840 would be shorter and quicker.

Just read 840 will be done in the next 5-6 years. All the injunctions are lifted and construction is underway one one "missing link." Reduced federal hwy money and new priorities at TDOT are the main culprits now the environmental issues have been sorted out.

I live North of Nashville and had some engineers walking my land (years ago)for the upper section of the 840 bypass. Since it would be thirty plus feet in front of my property (country), I would loose so much. I have I-65 that makes the quiteness a thing of the past. If (and I pray it doesn't come on the north side) my low highway noise will be magnified. For me to get my acreage changed to commercial will never happen. I could at least put a service station and go head to head with the dot heads.

So I guess you can say, I am against the loop from being completed. As for the lower section, I drive by it a few times a week and all the land has been completed and leveled. TDOT should at least throw a couple inches of tar on it so the locals can make a little money for all of their agravations.

IMHO,
