So now that it's over - thoughts?

We find the author and make him write more?

That said the Union Creek Journal mentioned earlier is a good read and seems to have some good ideas. Definitely looking into those rocket stoves (I think that's the name). Sounds like they could be useful.

I really miss AUD. It was my cooldown read after the morning rush of bad news and stupid employees. I would like it in a book form, it would be fun to re-read. I also like the the Union Creek Journal. It's not as well done as AUD and the entries are too short but it's got some good twists and the charecters are well done.

I stopped reading Union Creek when I realized the author says the exact same thing in every paragraph of each journal entry. He repeats himself over and over about mundane topics that don't have anything to do with the story. He never gives details and stops way short of completing side stories. Got frustrated and gave up.

I didn't get this at all. And the side stories are just that. They get pushed to the side for a while and then come back around to them later.

I liked them. Of course, the author was/is still growing as an author, but overall, I found the story chapters to be well writen, interesting and they sure kept my interest.

I think it was less growing as an author and more of him staying with how the character would write. The biggest sign of a style change in how he writes can be seen in his side stories. has a largely different feel from Adrian's diary entries.
