Now that I am a father I can definitely say I understand what she was feeling. Except I woudn't have shot him, I would've ripped his head from his shoulders for touching my child. Good for her.

I'm glad this turned out well and have no idea of the circumstances since I wasn't there but if she fired at the perp and the guy was holding her child (again just guessing) it could have been a tragedy if the child had been hit either by accident or by over pentration. I can't even begin to speculate even in hindsite what the right answer to this one is.

If this were my daughter or granddaughter I'd be prouder than a peacock. Only 22 years old but with the presence of mind to end the problem with a good result. A lot of people would have just freaked. Way to go.
