It might be a mistake for Ron Paul to focus on the middle east much in his campaign. Remember Obama did that. He ranted and raved about pulling our troops out on a set schedule ASAP. He the had one national security meeting with the outgoing president and never mentioned it again. Its not too hard to figure out there are things going on that we do not know, and cannot know. I am not saying Ron Paul is wrong, just that he will not have all the facts until and if he is elected, so he should not speak too much on a point he may have to abandon later.

Agree with ya on that. Main focus right now for most people is the economy, jobs and getting us out of this hole we got dragged into over a course of the last 80+ years. Not just obama to blame, it's the whole racket. I just thought it was another way of looking at these wars in foreign countries we really have no business being involved in. Our troops want to come home, so let's bring them home. That would save countless billions of dollars our already overcorrupt politicians spend just to keep their friends wealthy and themselves in power.

Paul's foreign policy is as suicidally naïve as BHO's financial nitwittery is.

I disagree. I think minding our own business whenever we can, and quitting our self-appointed job of "worlds police force" is the only way we have a chance.

If we are going to put American boots on the soil of another country, we should be willing to take it and keep it. We put another star on the flag, build roads, schools, Walmart, Starbucks, the whole 9 yards. It's ours. If we are not willing to go that far, then we should leave it alone. It's not our fight.

I agree with you but once we stop being the "World Police" who will start? Do you want them to start? Also about taking over other countries it would be nice if it were that easy. However that will piss off somebody and make more enemies.

I don't know who will police but we can't afford to do it. We can't afford the $$$ and we can't afford to keep collecting enemies.

Taking over countries isn't nice. My point was that we as a people need to be THAT committed before we send in our troops. If we aren't willing to commit the resources to make it ours (and I hope we never are) then stay out of their country.

History is a great example of what not to do and what does not work. This countries government along with the people that run it financially from the shadows are actually vain enough to think that we can do what Rome and Persia could not do. Proof is in the pudding folks. The military actions that we wage overseas are a big part of why this country is in such financial distress.

You can talk about oil and what not but this country has enough resources on its own land to sustain itself without going outside of its borders. Has anyone heard of Prudhoe Bay? There are huge deposits of nautral gas under our very own lower 48.

I dont claim to know what goes on behind closed doors but if you break it down to its lowest form, the video we just watched speaks volumes. It is just my opinion and worth almost as much virtual memory it took to make this post happen. My thoughts have always been that the military itself was formed to DEFEND our country. How is taking a military action off of our homeland a form of defense? I cannot remember his name, but a high ranking Japanese Admirals was asked why Japan didnt attack the mainland of the United States during World War 2. His response was simply because there was a gun carrying citizen behind every blade of grass.

I had a thought about a WAY to see Ron Paul...but it would probably warrant the BAN HAMMER....I've gotten to the point where I can't watch or listen to any of these Class act ASS HATS anymore...not a single one of them gives a rats rear end about this country or its citizens
