Supposed to go hunting in the morning but I can't sleep

Finally got things settled down, been hectic with the Wife starting her new job/career, kids with football, cheerleading and basketball getting into swing here shortly. All the Booster Club stuff, signups for Basket ball and their cheerleaders finding coaches, assistant coaches, book keepers, people to man the clock, stocking the concession stand and so forth. The misses is president of one and treasurer for the other (elementary school and middle school respectively). I finally have a day with nothing going on so I can get out and wham I can’t sleep.

I have actually been having more trouble than normal sleeping as of late, post layoff/plant closure. Maybe I am stressed? Still I feel more relaxed than I have in a long time. So other than a bit of squirrel hunting with the kids, which don’t get me wrong I love it I have not been able to get out. I actually managed to go more often when I was working….. Can’t quite figure that one out.

I realize it probably sounds ridiculous but I don’t care what walks in front of me first; Buck, Doe or Turkey if it’s of size I am inviting it to dinner and it will have a place of honor at my table. Freezer is getting low, I just recently slow coked the last full venison quarter I had and am down to a bit of stew meat. We could use it now as the budget is a bit tighter than it was before I got laid off. Well thanks for listening (reading) to my rant. I guess I will have a beer and try to head off here in a bit.

Well, hopefully you got to catch a few z's. Sounds like you could use a little quiet time in the woods today. Good luck on the hunt.
