Ladies and Gents,

Just a head's up, there is a gun show in Sevierville on the 29th and 30th of this month, at the Sevier County Fairgrounds. Your favorite Type 07 FFL from Franklin, TN (that would be yours truly) will be there, with a bunch of NFA toys, some shotguns, shotgun accessories, AR lowers (stripped and complete), AR parts (uppers, stocks, sights, lower parts kits, etc.), and probably a couple of complete rifles.

The show hours are Saturday 9-6, and Sunday 10-4. Come on by and say hello. I still haven't met everyone from East TN, so this a good chance to put faces to names.

I'll be staying in Knoxville with friends over the weekend (bteague2). We're thinking of possibly hitting Coal Creek on Friday or Saturday night, along with dinner and possible drunken debauchery afterwards. If anyone wants to join us, drop me a line and we'll see what we can work out.

I look forward to seeing y'all.

Frank

I know that I don't need to tell anyone here that Frank is a good guy, but sometimes you just have to say thanks. Frank is great to deal with, and he made my son happy this weekend with a new pistol. Of course they made me pay for it. But just a quick applause to Frank, Thanks again.

Is this a new gun show promoter? New venue for sure, and I've never heard of R&R. I wish them lots of luck, and I'll plan on being there.

Someone will have to teach me the secret handshake. And, of course, once more than one person knows about something, it's no longer truly secret. Ergo, teaching me the 'secret' handshake nullifies its secretiveness, and voids any TGO 25% discount offer. Sorry, brother, but my time working in an Army S-2 shop taught me the importance of PERSEC, OPSEC, and SHAKESEC. :P;)

Who is the show promoter?.

The website for the show claims it to be R&R Promotions. The domain name is owned by Mailing Worx, contact is Robert Chipley.

I just picked up a $1 off coupon at the Boyds Creek Chevron for the show. I don't ever recall having one in Sevierville.

I was chatting with a few dealers at the Meadowview show Sat. and most said they were going to try and make the show. One told me he thought it was the second show there But I cant remember another. I will try to make it I still need more stuff for my AR and am looking for a Kimber but the new Taurus 1911 looks and feels pretty good:confused:. I have a Ruger P94 9mil. I might try to trade on one, kinda hard to let it go it was my first handgun I ever bought for myself, maybe I can trade the wife!!!!!:)

CU there,Rando

RK Shows put on a show in Pigeon Forge last year, it was universally panned. I'm hearing from dealers who did RKs show that this new Sevierville show is not being advertised well. Those who did the RK show say they aren't planning on doing the Sevierville show. I think I'll sit out Saturday and wait for a positive report before driving that far to attend.

I'd say awful(partially true) things about Frank but he's staying at my apartment. :)

And he's better armed than you. :D

The only way I found out was driving past the fairgrounds and seeing the sign.

It was a small show but Frank is a very nice guy to talk to. I really should have picked up one of his "infidel" shirts but all my wallet got hit by was the admission price.

I saw the Infidel shirts, nice. It was a small show, not much ammo, alot of lookers. There were about 16 vendors. Looking forward to the expo center next month.

Gentlemen,

Thanks for coming out to support the show. Yes, it was a small show, with not a great turn-out. However, it was the first one the promoter has put together, and the first one in Sevierville. For me, it was about as good as a bad Nashville show, sales-wise. I did meet a few members, made a few other contacts, and picked up a couple of good deals myself. All in all, I was pleased with the results. I'm looking forward to future shows in Sevierville getting bigger and better as time goes on.

I still have some of the Infidel t-shirts. So, if you still want one, let me know, and I'll do what I can to take care of you.
