I don't know if this is the right place to post this but here goes. I have a add up to sell some guns. I received a reply from someone who is a "Guest" aka none forum member. It kind of makes me wonder if I want to sell to someone like this.

Personally, I won't even do business with a new member unless a tenured member can vouch for them.

To me, that's like doing business with someone off the street who you've never met before.

I don't have a problem with dealing with people with no history here. Everyone starts somewhere. I converse via PM with them and if they don't come off as a psycho or someone who just walked outta the woods, then I do the deed. Always had a positive experience. That said, always meet in public and carry if you can.

How can a "guest" even browse the classifieds. You must be logged in to do so.

Setting up an account on here is very simple. I am very new myself. I would be very leery of anyone who cannot even do that.

I just logged out (which actually took clearing cookies to really do), just to see if there was some change. I couldn't even view classifieds, much less PM anyone.

It could have been from someone who's account was identified as a spammer account and they were subsequently deleted from the forum. When that happens it reverts the identity of the member to "guest".
