Goin' in for wisdom teeth extraction.

Thanks again for all the suggestions, folks. Went in at 8:30am. Took back for surgery at 9:30.

IV inserted, room started getting a little wobbly, and suddenly it was 10:30 and I was trying to keep my eyes open in recovery.

Overall not a bad experience. One tooth required significant bone removal so that side of my face is in the most pain. Currently living on the couch with a bottle of antibiotics, hydrocodone, and ice packs wrapped around my head.

Another survivor. Good on you! Did the dentist let you keep the teeth so you could make a little necklace out of them? ;)

A week later I can say "That wasn't too bad." Oral surgeon even reduced the price a bit since the top two weren't as bad as expected.

I see that I posted the day of, after I got home. I actually don't remember doing that.

I'm now eating mostly normally again. Jaw is still a bit sore, but feeling 100% better than I was.

Some other thoughts...

Pudding cups are a nice treat if you can't chew.

Slim-fast shakes and a Wendy's frosty or two will sustain you nicely for a few days.

If anyone in the area needs a good oral surgeon, Dr. Greg Anderson across from Anderson Co high school seems to do excellent work.
