What's the story behind that upper?

rifle is a olympic arms .i swaped out the handguards to the a1 triangle .also put on the a1 grip and sling.still waiting on the teardrop foward assist to get here.the number 57 is my old rack number when i was in the army.my gas mask was also number 57.i wanted one like i carried in the late 70's.rifle is not 100% correct but most would not know what to look for. the barrel is heavier one than military issue.

Any day now I'm getting the metal collapsible stock and old handguards for my retro carbine. I'll post some pics when it is done.

i have some more a1 handguards and a pistol grip that i plan on selling when i can get then rounder together.
