RIA 1911 Compact in Franklin?

I'm somewhat new here, but I've enjoying reading through the archives over the last few weeks. A lot of great information. Thanks for a great resource!

I've heard a lot of good things about the Rock Island Armory 1911 on here and other places on the 'net and I think I'm wanting to move in that direction. I have some other questions that I'll get around to putting together in a more relevant thread later but for right now I'm just looking for a place where I can take a look at (and maybe get a fair price for) one of these handguns? Specifically the Compact model. I've seen them on Gun Broker for about $400 - but I would rather support local business and actually hold the gun in my hand before I buy it. Anyone have any suggestions where I could take a look at one in the Franklin/Spring Hill area?

Franklin gun shop may have them...I've noticed them to be a little high on something's, but not totally unreasonable. A little north of that, Tom at GFA will order one in for you - he's usually a hair above Bud's pricing.

Bellshire's on Dickerson Rd has two different compacts. With GI sites, tactical hammer and ext BTGS = $375. Add dovetailed front rear tactical sites the previous and it's $435.

I have the 4" RIA and I love it.

Yep, Bellshire Hardware on Dickerson Rd. in Nashville.... Phil actually sells a lot of RIA 1911's on gunbroker (seller name Bellshireguns). His pricing is usually very good.

Phil is a good person to do business with. I've purchased a few things from him over the years.

Just call his place and see what he has in stock.

Another recommendation for Bellshire Hardware. Got a compact tactical from Phil and it is an excellent gun. Flawless and accurate.

If Bellshire is out of stock, I would also check with D&T Arms, one of the sponsors. I know they've had RIA in stock recently, but don't remember if they had the compact.

Thanks for the recommendation, guys. Bellshire looks to be the consensus - and looking on Gunbroker it looks like he has a few in stock. Once my bonus check arrives, I'll give him a call then make the drive.
