i'm switching to Fifth Third -- Top 20 strongest banks in the World (not just country)

i'm doing this because of having $$$ in a failing bank in CA, and had to have FDIC pay me back what was left in my checking account. Took a good 4 months to get that money.

I could care less about fee's -- I look at assets & the strength of each bank I go with.

well this isn't going over too well with the Obama Administration, and I have to agree. Sec Treasury Geitner, says they will fight back against the banks for doing this.

Geithner Warns Banks: We Will ‘Prevail’ | TheBlaze.com

Haven't dealt with a bank in 2 years, and with good reason. They don't care about you, they just want your money and nothing else. I dumped US Bank after they reneged on a loan that they told me I was approved for, but after I sold my car, I went in to sign paperwork and was told my loan was denied.

Credit Unions give you the best quality of customer service, no ridiculous fee's of any sorts, and they look out for you and your interests, and they actually care. Had one in KC for years, and I've been with my current one for 2 years, love 'em to death. They work with me on anything and everything.

A quote from Turbo tax cheat Tim. “We are going to push back harder,” he said in the CNN Money report. “And in the end, we are going to prevail because what we are doing is a reasonable, sensible thing.”

In other words "We will pass more dumb #@* regulations or laws that caused this in the first place.

So they'll pass more dumb legislation which will end up costing the banks more, which will roll down hill like :) always does. The banks will then pass the buck on to us yet again, more than likely with even higher fees. So, we'll end up losing more money than we are now.

Sounds like a freaking genius plan.

We were notified last week that Regions Bank is also jumping on the band wagon. I think it is going to be $4 a month flat fee.

+1 This is what is leading us down a hole.

If it's all ATM use, then no fee. All it takes is one retail purchase and there's your $4 for the month.
